March 23, 2024 - Illustrated postcards - the art of Etegami.
This artform is truly magic. It's multidimentional.
Etegami allows you to relax and let go of control, cure "perfectionism", calm nerves, and it allows you to disconnect from the mundane of the world. While painting an Etegami, you connect to the subject, noticing intricacies that we don't usually notice as we navigate our busy lives.
Just after a short practice, you will be able to delight yourself and your friends with illustrated postcards in the japanese style of Etegami.
Anna Guettabi, your teacher, will provide the class materials, explain to you the tools, basic techniques, and how you can fit Etegami in your life and even use it to connect with others!
This is an hour and a half long workshop, from 10 to 11:30 am that will be held at Northeast public library, 1241 Military Cutoff Rd.
This workshop is free, but donations are welcomed.
